Jones</a> was sentenced to three years in prison Monday for an alcohol-involved crash that killed his girlfriend on the West Side in 2013.</p> <p>Jones, 35, pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated DUI and one count of reckless homicide at a hearing before Judge William Hooks, who handed down the sentence, according to court records.</p> <p>Authorities said Jones was driving a 1998 Saturn south on Western Avenue when he lost control and hit a viaduct near 16th Street about 2:15 a.m. Feb. 23, 2013.<br /> <span id="more-11188"></span><br /> The force of the crash split the car in half, leaving the passenger’s side completely exposed, police said.</p> <p>Jones' girlfriend, 26-year-old Cicero resident <a href="">Chantelle Jones</a>, was a passenger in the vehicle and died three hours later, authorities said.</p> <p><iframe src="" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>Authorities said alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
