Jemison attempted to run away, but Robinson shot him, then stood over his body and fired several more times, prosecutors said.</p> <p>Jemison, of the 4700 block of South Michigan, later died at the University of Chicago Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Robinson, of the 5300 block of South Hoyne, was sentenced to 55 years in prison Friday, court records show. He is expected to appear for a bond hearing Saturday.</p> <p>Robinson, Clyde Jackson and a third man are accused of murdering 28-year-old Kelvin Jemison on Jan. 1 in the 4500 block of South Champlain Avenue.</p> <p>Jemison was walking with a friend when a car with four people inside passed them twice then began following them, according to court documents.</p> <p>The dusty, black, four-door car stopped near Jemison and his friend about 2:45 p.m. Jan. 1 and Clyde Jackson and another backseat passenger exited the car and acted as a lookout for front seat passenger Robinson, who got out of the car and opened fire on the two, according to court documents.</p> <p>Robinson shot Jemison as he attempted to run away, then stood over him and shot him several more times, according to court documents.</p> <p>Jemison, 28, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was declared dead, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.</p> <p>Security video captured the murder and Jackson was identified as one of the people acting as a lookout, according to the state’s attorney’s office.</p> <p>Jackson, 28, of the 4500 block of South Drexel Boulevard, was also charged with one count of first-degree murder, police said.</p> <p>On Friday, Judge Donald Panarese Jr. ordered Jackson held on $1 million bond, said Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton.</p> <p>Jackson was also ordered held without bond for the probation violation, authorities said.
