Devion Kimble | Homicide Watch Chicago news about Devion Kimbleen-usThu, 29 Oct 2015 13:30:07 -0500Bond denied for 17-year-old charged with fatal shooting of DeAngelo Birge in West Garfield Park<p><iframe src="" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe><br /> By LUKE WILUSZ and JORDAN OWEN<br /> Chicago Sun-Times Wire<br /> A 17-year-old boy accused of killing <a href="">DeAngelo Birge</a> and wounding another man in a West Garfield Park neighborhood shooting earlier this month was ordered held without bond Thursday.</p> <p><a href="">Devion Kimble</a>, 17, is charged with one count each of first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. He is also charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.</p> <p>Birge, 24, and another 24-year-old man were sitting in a car parked in the 4300 block of West Maypole about 3:15 p.m. Oct. 6 when Kimble walked up to the driver-side back window and fired at least nine bullets into the car, prosecutors said.</p> <p>Birge, of the 4200 block of West Jackson, was shot twice in the head and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:46 p.m., authorities said. The other 24-year-old was shot in the head and finger, and was also taken to Stroger, where he was treated and released.<br /> <span id="more-14150"></span></p> <p>Multiple witnesses identified Kimble as the shooter, and he admitted the crime to a third party days after the shooting, prosecutors said.</p> <p>Kimble was previously charged as a juvenile with unlawful use of a weapon.
