http://homicides.suntimes.com/suspects/james-ivory/Latest news about James Ivoryen-usSat, 25 Oct 2014 18:53:36 -0500http://homicides.suntimes.com/2014/10/25/james-ivory-charged-with-murder-in-englewood-shooting-death-of-arthur-shanklin/<p><img src="http://wordpress.homicidewatch.org/chicago/files/2014/10/Ivory-James.jpg" alt="James Ivory / Photo from Chicago Police" width="100%" height="auto" class="size-full wp-image-8711" /><br /> James Ivory / Photo from Chicago Police</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/suspects/james-ivory/">James Ivory</a> has been charged with murder in the Englewood shooting death of <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/arthur-shanklin/">Arthur Shanklin</a>.</p> <p>Ivory, 31, is accused of shooting Shanklin, 32, in the chest and neck in the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue about 1:20 a.m. Aug. 26, authorities said.</p> <p>Witnesses told investigators they heard arguing before shots were fired, police said.<br /> <span id="more-8710"></span><br /> Shanklin, of the 1000 block of East 76th Street, died at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p><iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/704.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>“He had a heart of gold,” said his sister, Shonda Shanklin. “He had such generosity.
