Shawn Black | Homicide Watch Chicago news about Shawn Blacken-usSun, 27 Sep 2015 15:58:01 -0500Murder charge filed in fatal shooting of Vuan Evans in South Shore<p><iframe src="" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe><br /> By MITCHELL ARMENTROUT<br /> Chicago Sun-Times Wire<br /> <a href=""><img src="" alt="Shawn Black | Chicago Police" width="300" height="285" class="size-medium wp-image-13642" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Shawn Black | Chicago Police</p><br /> A man has been charged with a South Shore neighborhood shooting that left <a href="">Vuan Evans</a> dead and two others wounded earlier this month.</p> <p><a href="">Shawn Black</a>, 26, faces one count of first-degree murder and two counts each of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm for the attack that happened about 9 a.m. Sept. 2, Chicago Police announced Sunday.</p> <p>The three victims were standing outside in the 2600 block of East 74th Place when Black walked up and started shooting, police said.<br /> <span id="more-13640"></span></p> <p>Evans, 25, was shot in the head and was taken to South Shore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:40 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Evans was from the 3100 block of South Cheltenham Place.</p> <p>A 29-year-old man shot twice in the back and once in the chest was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition. A 50-year-old man who suffered a graze wound to the back was treated and released from Jackson Park Hospital, police said.</p> <p>Black, who lives in the 2600 block of East 77th Street, was ordered held without bond, and is due back in court Monday.</p> Jeff MayesSun, 27 Sep 2015 15:58:01 -0500 EvansShawn Black
