Woods</a>, who was found dead almost two months ago in an alley in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.</p> <p>Officers were called about 12:45 p.m. Jan. 26 to a report of a person down in the alley in the 6300 block of South Parnell, according to Chicago Police.</p> <p>Woods, 30, of west suburban Westchester, was found dead, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Police said he suffered puncture wounds to his chest and hand; and it appeared the body had “been there for a considerable amount of time.”<br /> <span id="more-24887"></span><br /> <img src="http://wordpress.homicidewatch.org/chicago/files/2017/03/db6ae00a3207bb97142d247adab95261-225x300.jpg" alt="Garcel S. Woods | Facebook</p></p> <p>An autopsy Jan. 27 found Woods died from multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Further investigation found that Woods was shot twice in the chest at 40-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/suspects/terry-gilford/">Terry Gilford</a>’s home in Maywood, and then taken to the Englewood alley, where he was discovered by someone walking home, according to Maywood police.</p> <p>Gilford was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder, Maywood police said.
