Abraham Cooper fatally shot in Austin community

Abraham Cooper was fatally shot in the Austin neighborhood Tuesday night.

Cooper, 19, was shot in the chest and shoulder in the 400 block of North Lawler Avenue about 7:50 p.m., authorities said.

Cooper, of the 4800 block of West Fulton Street, died less than an hour later at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, authorities said.

Nobody has been charged for the murder.

Area North detectives are investigating.
