Anthony Camarillo | Homicide Watch Chicagohttp://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/anthony-camarillo/Latest news about Anthony Camarilloen-usMon, 15 Apr 2013 12:28:29 -0500Man charged with DUI, reckless homicide for fatal crash involving squad carhttp://homicides.suntimes.com/2013/04/15/man-charged-with-dui-reckless-homicide-for-fatal-crash-involving-squad-car/<p><b>Sun-Times Media Wire; April 15, 2013 4:54AM</b></p> <p>A Joliet man was charged with vehicular homicide after he drunkenly collided with a police cruiser Friday night -- killing a passenger in his car while wounding himself, another occupant in the vehicle and two police officers.</p> <p>Alex Reyes, 24, has been charged with reckless homicide, aggravated DUI resulting in death, aggravated DUI resulting in body harm and driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. He was also charged with driving on a suspended license, failing to keep in the lanes, driving in an uninsured motor vehicle, and two counts of damage to public property.</p> <p>Reyes was driving a car carrying three people when he crashed into the squad car about 11:30 p.m. near Harrison Street and Laramie Avenue in the Austin, authorities said.</p> <p>An 18-year-old man, identified as Anthony Camarillo, of the 1300 block of South 56th Street, was ejected from the wreckage and died at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.</p> <p>Camarillo suffered multiple injuries from an automobile collision and his death was ruled an accident, an autopsy determined.</p> <p>Reyes and another passenger were critically hurt and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, authorities said.</p> <p>Neither of the officers who were struck in the crash suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. Both were taken to John H.
