Howard</a>, 25, was was shot multiple times in the head from a shooter in a light-colored vehicle in the 500 block of South Lockwood, Police said.</p> <p>Howard was pronounced dead at the scene, about a mile from where he lived, at 4:41 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Other homicides last week included:</p> <ul> <li>A man was shot dead Monday evening in the Uptown neighborhood on the North side. At 6:03 p.m., a teenage boy between 15 and 17 fired shots at <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/deshawn-johnson/">DeShawn Johnson</a> in the 1200 block of West Leland and then ran away, police said. Johnson, 18, <span class="s1">was fatally shot in</span> the chest and was transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:40 p.m.</li> </ul> <p><span id="more-29740"></span></p> <ul> <li>A man was shot dead Monday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/devon-j-thomas/">Devon J. Thomas</a>, 27, was shot just before 5 p.m. inside an apartment in the 6900 block of South Prairie, according to police and the medical examiner’s office. Thomas, who was shot in the jaw and eye, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:19 p.m., authorities said.</li> <li>A man has died two days after being shot during a weekend drug deal in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, authorities said. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/exavian-c-davis/">Exavian C. Davis</a>, 25, “was involved in a narcotics related transaction” about 2:45 p.m. Saturday when someone he knew pulled out a gun and shot him in the head in the 3900 block of West Van Buren, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:39 a.m. Monday, authorities said. He lived about two blocks from where he was shot.</li> <li>A man was shot to death Wednesday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/miguel-d-ford/">Miguel D. Ford</a>, 21, was sitting in his vehicle about 2:15 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Paulina when another male walked up and pulled out a gun, according to Chicago Police. Ford tried to drive away as the shooter fired and he was struck in the back. His vehicle then crashed into a tree and overturned. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 2:44 p.m., police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. Ford lived in southwest suburban Romeoville.</li> <li><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/dashon-campbell/">Dashon Campbell</a>, 22, was shot in the head and crashed his vehicle about 5:15 p.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes of I-90/94 near 51st Street, according to Illinois State Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Two vehicles were seen driving erratically before gunshots were heard and Campbell’s vehicle crashed into a wall along the expressway. The other vehicle continued driving north. Campbell, who lived in the Fuller Park neighborhood, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:53 p.m., authorities said. Two of his passengers, a 2-year-old girl and 22-year-old woman, were taken in good condition to St. Bernard Hospital for treatment of injuries related to the crash. A third passenger, an 18-year-old woman, declined medical attention at the scene.</li> <li class="p1"><span class="s1">About 5:45 p.m. Thursday, two teenage boys were killed and a 14-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side. The three were shot in the vestibule of a building in the 5600 block of West Washington Boulevard by someone who entered the building, demanded their property and opened fire, Chicago Police said. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/charlie-lawrence/">Charlie Lawrence</a>, a 15-year-old from the Roseland neighborhood, was shot in the back, authorities said. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/tyree-wise/">Tyree Wise</a>, a 16-year-old from Austin, was shot in the head. They both were pronounced dead at the scene less than 15 minutes later. The girl suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and took herself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where her condition was stabilized.</span></li> <li>A 53-year-old man died Friday morning, two weeks after he was assaulted at his home in West Rogers Park on the Northwest Side. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/herbert-rohloff/">Herbert Rohloff</a> was beaten about 2 p.m. on Oct. 31 at his home in the 6200 block of North Artesian, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, initially in serious condition, police said. Rohloff was pronounced dead at 9:12 a.m. Friday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy Friday found he died of complications of multiple injuries he suffered in an assault, and his death was ruled a homicide.</li> <li>A 30-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/anthony-collins/">Anthony Collins</a>, of Maywood, was shot in the leg at 1:46 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Mango, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 2:28 p.m, authorities said. An autopsy Monday found he died of a gunshot wound to the groin and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
