Gardner</a> was ordered held on $2.5 million bond Saturday after prosecutors said he fatally shot <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/arron-feazell/">Arron Feazell</a> in the East Garfield Park neighborhood in May.</p> <p>Gardner is accused of opening fire on two people in the 3300 block of West Maypole Avenue on May 25. </p> <p>Feazell, of the 1400 block of South 10th Street in Maywood, was shot six times and died at the scene, authorities said. Prosecutors said Feazell was shooting dice when he was killed.<br /> <span id="more-8552"></span><br /> A 17-year-old boy was also shot in both legs and his hand, police said. He was initially taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital and survived the attack.</p> <p><iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/576.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>Gardner was identified as the alleged shooter after a DNA match from two articles of clothing found at the scene, according to prosecutors, who said a security guard and three Chicago Police officers also identified him.</p> <p>The three officers heard the shots and began chasing Gardner, authorities said. One officer opened fire, but missed.</p> <p>Officers from the police Fugitive Apprehension Unit captured Gardner in Madison, Wis.</p> <p>Gardner, 31, of the 4700 block of South Vincennes Avenue, was charged with murder, attempted murder and three counts of aggravated assault to a peace officer with a weapon, police said. Gardner</a> was charged with murder in the shooting death of 46-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/arron-feazell/">Arron Feazell</a> in the East Garfield Park neighborhood in May.</p> <p>Feazell and a 17-year-old boy were shot in the 3300 block of West Maypole Avenue about 8:05 p.m. May 25, authorities said.</p> <p>Feazell, of the 1400 block of South 10th Street in Maywood, was shot multiple times and was dead at the scene, authorities said.</p> <p>The 17-year-old was initially taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds to both legs and his hand, police said.<br /> <span id="more-8543"></span><br /> <iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/576.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>When officers responded to the call of shots fired they saw an armed man near North Homan and West Maypole avenues, police said. Another man died from wounds he suffered during an earlier shooting.</p> <p>Three of the people fatally shot were boys under the age of 18.</p> <p>The final murder of the week happened when 46-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/arron-feazell/">Arron Feazell</a> was shot multiple times in the 3300 block of West Maypole Avenue about 8:05 p.m. Sunday, authorities said. A 17-year-old boy was also wounded in the shooting.<br /> <span id="more-6110"></span><br /> Feazell, 46, of the 1400 block of South 10th Street in Maywood, died at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.</p> <p>On Saturday, 23-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/corteze-reed/">Corteze Reed</a> was shot about 8 p.m. while standing in the street in the 900 block of West Windsor Avenue, authorities said.</p> <p>Reed, of the 1900 block of West Chase Avenue, was shot in the chest and died at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center about two hours later, authorities said.</p> <p>In the Washington Park neighborhood, 17-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/dashawn-johnson/">Dashawn Johnson</a> was shot in the jaw near his home in the 9300 block of South Ada Street about 7:25 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.</p> <p>He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>In Englewood, a gunman emerged from an alley and shot 31-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/kenneth-anthony/">Kenneth Anthony</a> about 3:45 p.m. Saturday in 6900 block of South Emerald Avenue, authorities said. A 21-year-old man was also wounded in the shooting.</p> <p>Anthony, 31, of the 400 block of West 66th Place, was shot in the back and died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County about an hour later, authorities said.</p> <p>On Thursday, 26-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/suspects/tinesha-brooks/">Tinesha Brooks</a> allegedly fatally stabbed <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/maurice-paschal/">Maurice Paschal</a> 15 times in the 3900 block of South Indiana Avenue <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/2014/05/24/police-tinesha-brooks-fatally-stabbed-maurice-paschal-in-bronzeville/">after the two argued about whether he had been seeing other women</a> about 11:40 p.m., prosecutors said.</p> <p>Paschal, 26, of the 4700 block of South Michigan, died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital less than an hour later, according to the medical examiner's office.</p> <p>In the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, police found 14-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/kevin-diaz/">Kevin Diaz</a> shot multiple times on a sidewalk in the 6400 block of South Francisco Avenue about 10:15 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.</p> <p>Diaz, of the 6200 block of North Francisco Avenue, died at Holy Cross Hospital a short time later, according to the medical examiner's office.</p> <p>In the Roseland neighborhood, 20-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/brian-mckinney/">Brian McKinney</a> was standing on a sidewalk in the 10700 block of South Indiana Avenue when several people walked up and shot him multiple times about 8:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.</p> <p>McKinney, of the 7300 block of South Perry Avenue, died about an hour later at Christ Medical Center, according to the medical examiner's office.</p> <p>In the Humboldt Park neighborhood, 18-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/robert-waldon/">Robert Waldon</a> was fatally shot in the 1300 block of North Hamlin Avenue about 1:15 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. Waldon, of the 3800 block of West Grand Avenue, was dead at the scene.</p> <p>On Wednesday, 38-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/lewis-jenkins/">Lewis Jenkins</a> was shot in the 700 block of North Springfield Avenue about 12:25 p.m., authorities said. A 40-year-old acquaintance was also wounded in the shooting, police said.</p> <p>A friend drove both men to Norwegian-American Hospital, police said. Jenkins, of the 1000 block of North Lockwood Avenue, died a short time later from a gunshot wound to the chest, authorities said. </p> <p>On Monday, police found 29-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/leonard-goldman/">Leonard Goldman</a> shot to death in the street in the 2400 block of West Fillmore Street about 10:45 p.m. Monday, authorities said. Goldman, who lived on the block, was pronounced dead at the scene.</p> <p>The killings started when 17-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/kayshaun-hall/">Kayshaun Hall</a> was fatally shot in the 8400 block of South Kedzie Avenue about 5:05 p.m. Monday, authorities said.</p> <p>Hall, of the 2800 block of West 71st Street, died at the scene, according to the medical examiner's office. </p> <p>Hall was walking in an alley when <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/suspects/elvin-prince/">Elvin Prince</a> drove past several times and passengers in the car gave Hall “mean looks,” Assistant State’s Attorney Beth Novy said.
