http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/dangelo-simmons/Latest news about D'angelo Simmonsen-usWed, 01 May 2013 11:40:09 -0500http://homicides.suntimes.com/2013/05/01/1-dead-1-wounded-in-south-chicago-shooting/<p><b>Sun-Times Media Wire; April 5, 2013 6:02AM</b></p> <p>A 22-year-old man was killed and another was wounded in a Thursday afternoon shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood.</p> <p>D’Angello Simmons, of the 8000 block of South Manistee Avenue, died from a gunshot wound to the chest just after 7 p.m. Thursday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.</p> <p>Police said Simmons and an 18-year-old man were walking in the 8000 block of South Manistee Avenue when an approaching gunman opened fire about 6:10 p.m.</p> <p>Simmons was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.
