http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/derrick-canady/Latest news about Derrick Canadyen-usTue, 13 Sep 2016 10:05:10 -0500http://homicides.suntimes.com/2016/09/13/man-fatally-shot-in-south-chicago-identified-as-34-year-old-derrick-canady/<p><iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/1888.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>A man who died just hours after he was shot last month in the South Chicago neighborhood has been identified as 34-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/derrick-canady/">Derrick Canady</a>.</p> <p>Canady was found shot in the head at 10:44 p.m. Aug. 13 in an alley in the 8600 block of South Essex, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 1:55 a.m. Aug. 14, according to the medical examiner’s office.
