http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/faizon-smith/Latest news about Faizon Smithen-usMon, 17 Oct 2016 11:53:29 -0500http://homicides.suntimes.com/2016/10/17/faizon-smith-shot-to-death-in-west-garfield-park-drive-by/<p><iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/1963.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>Eighteen-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/faizon-smith/">Faizon Smith</a> was fatally shot in a drive-by in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Friday evening.</p> <p>At 6:49 p.m., Smith was in the gangway of a building in the 4500 block of West Maypole when someone fired shots from a car and then drove away, according to the Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Smith, of the 4400 block of West Washington Boulevard, was shot in the chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:26 p.m., authorities said.
