He got back up, got into the van, and Doss sped away from the scene.</p> <p>Barnes, of the 4700 block of South Wabash, was shot in the back of the head and the left knee, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 5:28 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>A witness saw the shooting and followed the van before calling 911, prosecutors said. Doss tried to lose the witness, but the witness flagged down a police vehicle at 67th and Racine, where officers began to follow the van.</p> <p>Doss and Ward got out of the van near 66th and Carpenter, and ran away, prosecutors said. While running, Ward dropped a firearm under a porch in the 6600 block of South Carpenter.</p> <p>Doss and Ward were arrested, and the witness positively identified both, prosecutors said. Jackson</a> died following a report of a domestic disturbance at her Chicago Lawn apartment Friday afternoon</p> <p>Shortly after noon, officers were called to the building in the 6300 block of South Fairfield, where they found Jackson unresponsive on a couch, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Jackson was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was died less than two hours later.</p> <p>Police did not say how she died, and final autopsy results were pending further investigation. But on Sunday, police said they homicide investigation has been reclassified as an ongoing death investigation, and a 34-year-old woman taken into custody at the scene was released without charges.</p> <p>A man died after he was shot Sunday evening in the West Side Austin neighborhood.</p> <p>Tamar Moore, 35, was sitting in a vehicle parked in the 5400 block of West Race Avenue about 7:35 p.m. when someone walked up and started shooting, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.<br /> <span id="more-14445"></span></p> <p>Moore, of the 5400 block of West Haddon Avenue, was shot repeatedly in the body and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:34 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Two of the week's homicides happened in the South Side Englewood neighborhood, where a 19-year-old man was shot to death Sunday night and a 20-year-old man was killed hours earlier.</p> <p>Officers responding to a call of a person shot about 8:40 p.m. in the 5700 block of South Union found <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/antonio-williams/">Antonio Williams</a> unresponsive on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the leg and chest, according to police and the medical examiner's office.</p> <p>Williams, of the 6900 block of South Carpenter, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died at 9:21 p.m..</p> <p>A 20-year-old Bronzeville man was shot to death about six hours earlier. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/jacques-barnes/">Jacques Barnes</a> was inside a vehicle in the 1000 block of West 71st Street at 2:50 p.m. when another vehicle pulled up and someone got out and fired shots, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Barnes, of the 4700 block of South Wabash, was shot in the head and body, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died less than three hours later, authorities said.</p> <p>Two other men were fatally shot on Saturday.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/lamar-battle/">Lamar Battle</a>, 26, was killed in a drive-by shooting Saturday night in Chicago Lawn. He was outside in the 6200 block of South Rockwell Street about 8:30 a.m. when a car drove by and someone inside fired shots, according to police and the medical examiner’s office. </p> <p>Battle, who lived on the same block, was shot multiple times in the head and neck, and was dead at the scene, authorities said.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/juan-harris/">Juan Harris</a> was shot to death early Saturday in West Englewood. The 37-year-old was talking to his girlfriend in the 1200 block of West 71st Place at 1:10 a.m. when three people walked up and someone shot him in the left armpit, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Harris, of the 5500 block of South Peoria, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:37 a.m. He died of multiple gunshot wounds.</p> <p>A 24-year-old man was shot to death while driving in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on Friday evening.</p> <p>At 7:43 p.m., <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/rashad-taylor/">Rashad Taylor</a> was driving southbound in the 7000 block of South Calumet Avenue when two gunmen fired shots from a sidewalk, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>He was shot twice in the right ribcage, but was able to keep driving two blocks south, where he stopped and his passenger flagged down police. He died just over an hour later at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.</p> <p>The week's first homicide occurred when <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/noel-burrell/">Noel Burrell</a> was shot to death late Tuesday in Englewood.
