Marcus Smith | Homicide Watch Chicagohttp://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/marcus-smith-dixmoor/Latest news about Marcus Smithen-usTue, 12 Apr 2016 11:07:32 -0500Marcus Smith of Dixmoor dies of gunshot wound minutes after being dropped off at Roseland Hospitalhttp://homicides.suntimes.com/2016/04/12/marcus-smith-of-dixmoor-dies-of-gunshot-wound-minutes-after-being-dropped-off-at-roseland-hospital/<p><iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/1537.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/marcus-smith-dixmoor/">Marcus Smith</a> was dropped off at a Far South Side hospital with a gunshot wound early last THursday, and just mintues later, the south suburban resident was dead.</p> <p>The 28-year-old was left at Roseland Community Hospital at 45 W. 111th St. about 4:51 a.m. April 7 with a gunshot wound to the torso, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Smith, of the 2200 block of Spaulding Avenue in Dixmoor, was pronounced dead at 5:05 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Police are trying to determine where the shooting happened.
