Gonzalez, of the 3100 block of South Komensky Avenue, died Friday afternoon at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.<br /> <span id="more-2921"></span><br /> About two hours earlier, <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/amanda-fitch/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Amanda Fitch</a> was inside a vehicle at a gas station when she was shot in the 6600 block of South Stony Island Avenue, authorities said. Fitch, 24, of the 4700 block of South Ellis Avenue, died about an hour later at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the medical examiner's office.</p> <p>On Thursday morning, <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/michael-walker/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Michael Walker</a>, 35, was shot in a gangway in the 8200 block of South Drexel Avenue about 8:45 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. Walker, 35, of the 8100 block of South Ingleside Avenue, died about an hour later at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.</p> <p>Walker was a professional boxer looking to turn his career around, his manager, Damian Walton said. Walker, known in the ring as “The Midnight Stalker,” began boxing professionally in 2004 and won his first 18 fights, according to online boxing records. He began losing in mid-2008 and died with a career record of 19-19.</p> <p>In Englewood, 21-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/devorite-diggins/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Devorite Diggins</a> and another man were shot at a gas station in the 5900 block of South Halsted Street about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.</p> <p>Diggins, of the 6200 block of South Aberdeen Street, was dead on the scene, authorities said. The other man, 21, was shot in the arm and initially taken in "stable" condition to Stroger Hospital.</p> <p>Trevonti Carson, 26, of the 5700 block of South Green Street, has been charged with murder in the killing, police said.</p> <p>In Pilsen, a gunman in a passing van fatally shot 19-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/uriel-quinones/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Uriel Quinones</a>, of the 2300 block of West 22nd Street, about 11:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Oakley Avenue, authorities said.</p> <p>The shooting started last week when UPS employee <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/michael-sullivan/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Michael Sullivan</a> was shot and killed on his way to work during a robbery in the 4200 block of West Lake Street about 11 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/suspects/derrick-williams/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Derrick Williams</a>, 20, and <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/suspects/rayshon-williams/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Rayshon Williams</a>, 16, have been charged with murder in Sullivan's death. Prosecutors said the two tried to rob Sullivan and shot him in the face when he walked away.</p> <p>Additionally, officers found 18-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/aaron-hubbard/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Aaron Hubbard</a> dead in a stairwell in the 5900 block of South Winchester Avenue about 3:30 p.m. Monday, authorities said. Hubbard, of the 6500 block of South Marshfield Avenue, was shot multiple times and the death was ruled a homicide.</p> <p>Investigators believe Hubbard was kidnapped and was reported missing about a week ago, a police source said. Derrick Williams, 20, of the 1600 block of South Spaulding Avenue, will appear for a bond hearing Saturday, police said.</p> <p>“I want justice,” Sullivan’s oldest daughter Latoya Griffin said outside the courtroom. “This kid is only a year older than [Michael Sullivan’s] grandson.”</p> <p>The Williams were in a car looking for someone to rob when they saw Sullivan walking to the train in the 4200 block of West Lake Street about 11:05 p.m. Tuesday, said Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Sara Ondera.<br /> <iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/374.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>Sullivan was walking to the Green Line Pulaski station to take the train to his job at UPS, where he worked for 32 years, his family said.</p> <p>Rayshon Williams exited the car and grabbed Sullivan, who pulled away and kept walking, Ondera said. They should be home doing homework,” Sullivan’s youngest daughter, Latese Sullivan said outside the courtroom.</p> <p>Rayshon Williams admitted his involvement in the attempted robbery and knowing his accomplice had a gun, Ondera said. The murder was captured on video surveillance, police said.</p> <p>Outside the courtroom, Rayshon Williams family said he did not commit the crime and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. They said Rayshon Williams is a leader, not a follower.</p> <p>Rayshon Williams lives with his grandmother, his legal guardian, and attended high school, his family said.</p> <p>Rayshon Williams, of the 1900 block of South Millard Avenue, was on parole for a 2012 possession of a controlled substance charge, according to the state’s attorney’s office. He had worked for UPS for 32 years, and walked a half-mile at night to catch a Green Line train to work.<br /> <img src="http://wordpress.homicidewatch.org/chicago/files/2013/11/upsaward-225x300.jpg" alt="UPS certificate / Family Photo" width="225" height="300" class="size-medium wp-image-2865" /><p class="wp-caption-text">UPS certificate / Family Photo</p></p> <p>Now, a 16-year-old boy has been charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder and attempted robbery in connection with his death, Chicago Police announced Thursday evening.</p> <p>The teen was also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, criminal damage to government property and having a replica firearm pellet gun, according to a police News Affairs statement. His name was not released because of his age.</p> <p>“He was truly a big brother,” said Sullivan’s younger brother, 49-year-old Fredrick Sullivan. “He was a hard worker … That was my hero. That was my role model.”</p> <p>Emergency personnel found Sullivan shot to death on the ground in the 4200 block of West Lake Street just after 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said.</p> <p>Detectives are investigating robbery as a possible motive and are looking at area surveillance footage, police said.<br /> <span id="more-2857"></span><br /> <iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/374.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>“He worked hard for anything he had, so he wasn’t the type just to let you come and just take something from him,” Sullivan’s oldest daughter, Latoya Griffin, said from her father’s home in the 4300 block of West Maypole Avenue.</p> <p>The family gathered at the home Thursday afternoon to sort through Michael Sullivan’s belongings -- including an extensive collection of Hot Wheels and baseball cards.</p> <p>Fredrick Sullivan, who shared a room with Michael Sullivan from 1968 to 1984, said whenever he would see Hot Wheels toys in the store he “had to get these for my brother.”</p> <p>Family members said Sullivan lived on the West Side his entire life and went to Austin High School, where he played running back and safety on the football team. He later received an associate’s degree from DeVry University.</p> <p>Sullivan loved sports -- especially the Bears, Bulls, Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Lakers, family members said. He also enjoyed video games, which he often played with his youngest daughter Latese Sullivan and his 15-year-old grandson Bryan Stafford.</p> <p>Sullivan, who had two brothers, two sisters, two daughters and two grandsons, suffered from kidney problems that required dialysis, family said.<br /> <img src="http://wordpress.homicidewatch.org/chicago/files/2013/11/childsullivan-225x300.jpg" alt="Michael Sullivan as a young child / Family Photo" width="225" height="300" class="size-medium wp-image-2868" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Michael Sullivan as a young child / Family Photo</p></p> <p>“He was a fighter, he was fighting it, and I know he was fighting it for us,” Griffin said. “Everything was about us, everything he done was to make sure his family was well taken care of.”</p> <p>Family said they never thought they would lose Sullivan to violence.</p> <p>“Never did we think God would take him out this way,” said Michael Sullivan’s older brother, 61-year-old Jerome Mitchell.</p> <p>Griffin said she could “take the call” if his kidney failed, because she knew it was “something that could go wrong.”</p> <p>“But for somebody to call and tell me somebody shot and killed my father … It was the last thing I ever thought would bury my father,” Griffin said.</p> <p>The death will be especially difficult for the family during the holiday season. Griffin said the family would always buy Michael Sullivan electronics for Christmas.</p> <p>Sullivan lived at the home with his mother, Callie Sullivan, and oldest brother.
