Showers</a> dead Thursday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood.</p> <p>Showers was driving just before 6 a.m. in the 700 block of South Kostner when another vehicle collided with hers, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 7:39 a.m., authorities said. She lived in the 800 block of South Kilbourn.</p> <p>Police said the driver of the other vehicle, 28-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/suspects/heriberto-aguirre/">Heriberto Aguirre</a>, ran away from the crash.
