Richard Miller | Homicide Watch Chicagohttp://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/richard-miller/Latest news about Richard Milleren-usFri, 21 Aug 2015 17:39:06 -0500Richard Miller dies more than a year after being shot while walking in South Shorehttp://homicides.suntimes.com/2015/08/21/12920/<p><iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/1180.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe><br /> By LEEANN SHELTON<br /> Chicago Sun-Times Wire</p> <p>More than a year after he was shot in the South Shore neighborhood, 19-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/richard-miller/">Richard Miller</a> died Thursday at a west suburban nursing facility</p> <p>Miller, who was 18 at the time, was walking in the 6900 block of South South Shore Drive about 6:15 p.m. on May 18, 2014, when two suspects began to follow him, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>One of the two started firing a gun, striking Miller multiple times, authorities said. </p> <p>He was initially taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. On Thursday, he was pronounced dead at 9:17 a.m. at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, the medical examiner’s office said.</p> <p>An autopsy found he died of complications from the multiple gunshot wounds, and ruled his death a homocide, the medical examiner’s office said.</p> <p>Authorities listed his home address as 7733 W.
