Robert Murphy III | Homicide Watch Chicagohttp://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/robert-murphy-iii/Latest news about Robert Murphy IIIen-usMon, 28 Oct 2013 08:51:26 -0500WEEK IN REVIEW: Four die last week from shootings in Chicagohttp://homicides.suntimes.com/2013/10/28/week-in-review-four-die-from-gunshots-last-week-in-chicago/<p>Three men and a teenage boy died last week after being shot in Chicago.</p> <p>The most recent murder happened in the Albany Park neighborhood when two males shot 17-year-old <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/dante-mondragon/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Dante Mondragon</a> in the 3700 block of West Lawrence Avenue about 1:20 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.<br /> <span id="more-2530"></span><br /> Mondragon, of the 4700 block of North Central Park Avenue, was shot in the upper back and died on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.</p> <p>In the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, a group of males approached 39-year-old http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/fredrick-ollie/ as he stood on a sidewalk in the 600 block of West 89th Street and somebody in the group shot him about 6:20 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.</p> <p>Ollie, of the 8900 block of South Union Avenue, died at 7:11 p.m. Saturday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>On Monday in the Chatham neighborhood, police responding to a report of shots fired found <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/jonathan-neal/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Jonathan Neal</a>, 23, on a sidewalk in the 8300 block of South Ellis Avenue about 3:15 p.m., authorities said.</p> <p>Neal died at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn about an hour later from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Additionally, a second man shot in a car Oct. 14 in the 300 block of East 82nd Street in Chatham died on Saturday.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/robert-murphy-iii/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://homicides.suntimes.com']);">Robert Murphy III</a>, 30, of the 7900 block of South Escanaba Avenue, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at John H. He has not yet been charged with Murphy’s killing, police said.<br /> <a href="http://wordpress.homicidewatch.org/chicago/files/2013/10/TerryBurnett.jpg" ><img src="http://wordpress.homicidewatch.org/chicago/files/2013/10/TerryBurnett.jpg" alt="Terry Burnett / Photo from Chicago Police" width="100%" height="auto" class="size-full wp-image-2455" /></a></p> <p>Terry Burnett / Photo from Chicago Police</p> <p>Burnett, of Harvey, allegedly shot Williamson and Murphy following an argument in the 800 block of East 82nd Street about 8:50 a.m. Oct. 14, authorities said.</p> <p>The car was stopped at the intersection of South Maryland Avenue and Burnett walked up, “raised a loaded firearm and fired that gun into the car at both victims,” according to court documents.</p> <p>Burnett fired four or five shots, striking Williamson in the back and the driver -- since identified as Murphy -- once in the head, prosecutors said.</p> <p>Williamson, of the 8700 block of South Ashland Avenue, died at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. The death was ruled a homicide.</p> <p>Murphy, 30, drove eastbound on 82nd Street until crashing into three parked cars near Drexel Avenue, authorities said.</p> <p>Paramedics took him to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in critical condition, police said. Murphy, of the 7900 block of South Escanaba Avenue, died there Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>After the shooting, Burnett fled the scene, prosecutors said.
