Morris</a> was sentenced to 12 years in prison Tuesday for fatally stabbing the father of her two children last year.</p> <p>Morris stabbed <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/rollins-stamps/">Rollins Stamps</a> about 8:40 p.m. April 7, 2013, in the 4000 block of South Wabash Avenue following an argument that escalated, authorities said.<br /> <span id="more-6220"></span><br /> <iframe src="http://homicides.suntimes.com/api/v1/homicides/71.html" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p>An injured Stamp went to a neighbor’s home for help and frantically rang the doorbell, authorities said.</p> <p>The neighbor saw Stamps bleeding on the porch and Morris holding a knife in her hand saying, “You gonna bring your ass over to her house for help!” prosecutors said.</p> <p>The neighbor then saw Morris stab Stamps, who fell to the ground. She continued to stab him while he was on the ground, then she started kicking him in the head and side, prosecutors said. Morris then walked home.</p> <p>Stamps, 26, died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy confirmed he died of multiple stab wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.</p> <p>Judge Nicholas Ford found Morris guilty of second-degree murder on April 29 after a bench trial, according to court records. He was pronounced dead at 9:28 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.</p> <p>An autopsy on Monday found that Stamps died of multiple stab wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.</p> <p>Latonya N.
