The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:34 p.m., according to authorities.<br /> <span id="more-24884"></span></p> <p>A resident of the West Humboldt Park neighborhood, Laquan had survived another shooting, just over a year earlier, family members said.</p> <p>Twenty-two-year-old man <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/cedric-adkins-malone/">Cedric Adkins-Malone</a> died Wednesday afternoon, five days after he was shot while working on his car about 2:15 p.m. Friday, March 17, in the 10200 block of South Calumet, police and medical examiner's office said.</p> <p>That's when someone appeared from a gangway across the street and opened fire, authorities said. Adkins-Malone suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 5:04 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. He lived in the same neighborhood.</p> <ul> <li>One person was killed and two others injured during a shooting early Sunday in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side. The group was in an apartment building vestibule about 1:40 a.m. in the 900 block of West 76th Street when they got into an argument with another group of people, according to police. During the argument, two males pulled guns and fired shots. <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/tanisha-jackson/">Tanisha Jackson</a>, 30, was shot multiple times and was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 6:15 a.m., according to police and the medical examiner’s office. He was shot multiple times and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died at 5:39 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.</li> <li>A man was shot to death Monday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side. About 4:15 p.m., <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/jason-barrett/">Jason Barrett</a> was in the first block of East 113th Place when someone got out of a silver SUV and shot him in the chest, according to police and the medical examiner's office.
