Police responded to a call of a person shot in the 5000 block of South Champlain at 10:50 a.m. and found <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/jeremy-d-hunter/">Jeremy D. Hunter</a>, 25; and <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/steven-tate/">Steven Tate</a>, 26, dead inside an apartment, authorities said.</p> <p>Hunter, who lived on that block, died of a gunshot wound to the head; and Tate, of the 6500 block of South Drexel, died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p><span id="more-15782"></span></p> <p>Another man was found shot to death early Sunday in the Longwood Manor neighborhood on the South Side. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/lawrence-campbell-iii/">Lawrence Campbell III,</a> 22, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the back about 1 a.m. inside a vehicle in the 9700 block of South Sangamon, according to Cpolice and the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Police said he had been driving southbound on Sangamon when he was shot, then crashed his vehicle. Campbell, of the 1200 block of West 61st Street, was pronounced dead at the scene=.</p> <p>A 19-year-old man intentionally struck three of his relatives with a car in Austin neighborhood early Sunday, leaving his father dead, police said.</p> <p>The fight started outside about 11:15 p.m. in the 5400 block of West Kamerling. The 19-year-old drove away and hit three of his family members with the car as he did so, police said.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/terrell-peters/">Terrell Peters</a>, 39, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died less than an hour later, according to the medical examiner’s office. An autopsy found he died of multiple blunt force injuries, and his death was ruled a homicide.</p> <p>Peters lived in the 500 block of West 66th Street. A police source said he was the father of the 19-year-old, who was not in custody as of Sunday afternoon.</p> <p>Two other family members, a male and female, were taken to a hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.</p> <p>A woman trying to break up a fight at an Austin neighborhood party was shot and killed Saturday morning. Two males got into an argument about 5:25 a.m. at the party in the 300 block of South Cicero, police said.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/latania-anderson/">Latania Anderson</a>, 27, stepped in between the two to break them up, but one of them shot her in the head, according to police and the medical examiner’s office. Anderson, who lived in the 4700 block of West Maypole, was dead at the scene.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/lorenzo-garcia/">Lorenzo Garcia</a> was shot and killed early Saturday in Back of the Yards. Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 3:50 a.m. in the 4700 block of South Laflin Street found the 24-year-old outside with a gunshot wound to the head, according to police and medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Garcia, who lived in the 4800 block of South Laflin, was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.</p> <p>One man was killed and two others wounded in a shooting earlier Saturday in West Lawn. The three men were in a vehicle shortly after 2 a.m. in the 6800 block of South Lawndale when the occupants of another vehicle started shooting at them, according to police.</p> <p>They showed up at Holy Cross Hospital and were later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital. Vincent Avila, 23, of the 5400 block of South Moody Avenue, was shot in the chest and died 5:30 a.m., according to police and the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>A 25-year-old man was shot in the neck and was listed in serious condition; and a 22-year-old man was shot in the wrist and shoulder, and was listed in good condition.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/reginald-bonner/">Reginald Bonner</a> was shot to death Thursday evening on the block where he lived in Humboldt Park.</p> <p>Bonner, 37, was in a vehicle in the 1100 block of North Springfield about 5:20 p.m. when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Bonner was shot in the arm and chest, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died at 5:55 p.m., authorities said.</p> <p>A 22-year-old man who was stabbed in the chest Feb. 7 in the Gresham neighborhood died three days later. <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/hassan-childs/">Hassan Childs</a> of the 7600 block of South Seeley Avenue died at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn Wednesday, according to the medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Childs and a 15-year-old girl got into a fight about 1:15 a.m. in the 7600 block of South Damen and the girl stabbed him, according to police. The girl was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated battery, but her name was not released because of her age.</p> <p>A 55-year-old man died Wednesday, nearly a week after being shot in the chest during an argument with an acquaintance in Lake View.</p> <p>On Jan. 4, <a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/lazane-clark/">Lazane Clark</a> got into an argument with a 67-year-old man in the 800 block of West Oakdale, authorities said. The older man pulled a gun and shot Clark in the chest.</p> <p>Clark was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday. The shooter called 911, remained at the scene and was questioned by police, according to the local alderman. Police said that man was questioned and released.</p> <p><a href="http://homicides.suntimes.com/victims/james-lewis/">James Lewis</a> was shot to death Monday morning while driving through the West Englewood neighborhood. The 35-year-old was driving near 69th and Marshfield when shots rang out about 9:50 a.m., according to police and the medical examiner's office.</p> <p>He kept driving for about another block, then stopped at 69th and Paulina, where he was found in the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy found he died of multiple blunt force injuries, and his death was ruled a homicide.</p> <p>Peters lived in the 500 block of West 66th Street.
