Vincent Winkfield | Homicide Watch Chicago news about Vincent Winkfielden-usTue, 16 Aug 2016 10:41:43 -0500Vincent Winkfield dies three days after being shot in head while standing on porch in Austin<p><iframe src="" width="100%" height="350" frameborder=0></iframe></p> <p><a href="">Vincent Winkfield</a> died Monday morning, three days after he was shot in the head in the Austin neighborhood.</p> <p>Winkfield, 28, was standing on the front porch of a home in the 400 block of North Lavergne at 1:09 p.m. Friday. A man got out of a dark-colored SUV and shot him in the head, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p> <p>Winkfield, who lived in the 1100 block of North Monticello, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:19 a.m. Monday, the medical examiner’s office said.</p> <p>Police said Tuesday morning no one has been charged in connection with the shooting as Area North detectives conduct a homicide investigation.</p> <p><em>--Chicago Sun-Times Wire</em></p> Jeff MayesTue, 16 Aug 2016 10:41:43 -0500 Winkfield
