Armondo Reyes was standing near his car when he was fatally shot in an alley in the Southwest Side Brighton Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 4:30 p.m., someone walked up to the 28-year-old Reyes as he stood next to his car in the 3800 block of South Sacramento, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The suspect opened fire, striking Reyes, then drove off in a light-colored SUV, authorities said.
Reyes, who lived on the same block, was shot in the back, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died at 5:05 p.m., authorities said.
