Willie Bush, 49, was one of three people wounded in an August shooting in the Lawndale neighborhood. Bush died days later, and a friend posted this about him:

Leonard Anderson, 17, was shot and killed outside a South Side recording studio back in September. Annie Kiser commented on his death.

What a handsome young guy. So heartbreaking for any mom to lose a child, no matter the circumstances. I am sorry for this lady’s loss.”

Boxer Michael Walker was shot to death in a South Side gangway last week. On Sunday, Seneca posted about his friend:

I’ve known Mike all my life. Good dude. He did what he loved, boxing. Every one was happy for him. Coming from where we come from it was exciting to go see him fight (Allstate Arena, Star Plaza, ,Civic Center , etc etc). Even when he lost he won. Alexander Mayo was shot dead in July in the Lawndale neighborhood. Kila Bell-Bey posted this about him:

I have known this young man since he was in elementary school. I always encouraged him to do his best in school and he in turn always gave me a winning smile along with a promise to do just that. He was a polite, respectful guy. This is a tragedy. My heart goes out to his family (especially his parents).

Marjorie Ivy was found stabbed to death in an Edgewater apartment Oct. 9. Today, Wendy posted about her friend.

I am so saddened by this story. Marjorie or “Gale” as she was better known as was such a sweet and person. She always had peanuts with her to feed the squirrels. They used to follow her around the park. She was also so kind and always stopped to say hello. RIP Gale. I will miss seeing you in the neighborhood.

Sheldon McCraven was found shot dead Oct. 29 in Logan Square. Last week, Nancy asked anyone who knows the shooter to contact police.
