Victor Mata found shot to death in yard in Ashburn

Victor Mata was found shot to death Tuesday night in the Ashburn neighborhood on the Southwest Side. Officers responding to a call of shots fired shortly before 7 p.m. found the 22-year-old lying in a yard in the 7900 block of South Kirkland, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
