A 25-year-old man was fatally shot in the head in Englewood early Friday.
The shooting happened about 12:51 a.m. near 66th Street and Ashland Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.
The man, identified as Deshawn Williams, 25, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. His home address was not immediately available. An autopsy later Friday found that he died of a gunshot to the head, the medical examiner’s office said.
A second man was taken in good condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, Gaines said.
Area South detectives are investigating.
