A 26-year-old man died Thursday from injuries he suffered four days earlier, when a motorist intentionally ran him over after a street-side argument in the Roseland neighborhood.
His death has been ruled a homicide, said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.
Andrew Prather, of the 8700 block of South Burley Avenue, died at Advocate Christ Hospital at 4:30 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Police said that at 1:50 p.m. on April 21 Prather and another person argued heatedly near West 91st Place and LaSalle Street. The other person then got into a vehicle and ran Prather down, police said.
No one was in police custody Friday as Area South detectives continue to investigate.
