An 18-year-old man shot Sunday night in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood has died, officials said. A 15-year-old was also wounded in the attack.
They were shot while walking in the 1700 block of West 79th Street about 6:15 p.m., police said.
Keith Spencer, of the 8100 block of South Damen Avenue, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died Monday at 4:15 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
He had been shot in the head, police said.
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the arm in the same attack, and was in “stable” condition at Christ Hospital, police said.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
