Officers responded about 3 p.m. to the 11600 block of South Vincennes Avenue and found a man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the back, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said.
The man, 22, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. His name was not released Tuesday night pending notification of relatives.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
