Four people were shot, one fatally, on the Far South Side early Sunday, police said.
The shooting occurred about 1:50 a.m. in the 600 block of East 131st Street, police said.
The four were standing outside with a group of people when a fight broke out and someone fired shots, police said.
A 28-year-old man was shot multiple times and was found unresponsive at the scene. A 40-year-old man was also shot multiple times and a 28-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the back. They were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, but their conditions weren’t immediately known, police said.
A 22-year-old man was also shot, but he made it on his own to Metro South Meical Center in Blue Island. He was listed in “stable” condition with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed the death but did not release the man’s identity pending notification of family.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
