A 33-year-old St. Louis man who was wounded during a weekend shooting on the Southwest Side has died, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Francisco Chairez-Munoz was shot once in the back about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 5100 block of South Kostner Avenue, police and the medical examiner’s office said.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was initially stabilized, police said.
But at 11:40 p.m. Monday, Chairez-Munoz died from his wound, according to the medical examiner.
No one was in custody as Area Central detective investigated.
