A South Side man was ordered held on $1 million bond for allegedly stabbing a man to death in June in the New City neighborhood.
Terrance Anderson, 26, of the 5600 block of South Michigan Avenue, was charged with first-degree murder, police said.
Anderson and 29-year-old Aaron Knox were fighting about 9:30 p.m. June 28 in the 1000 block of West Garfield Boulevard when Anderson grabbed a knife Knox multiple times, authorities said.
Knox, of the 5600 block of South King Drive, died the next day at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Judge Donald Panarese ordered Anderson held on $1 million bond Friday, said Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Lisa Gordon. Anderson will be back in court Sept. 6.
