A man was shot and killed in Englewood Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Jeffrey Montgomery, who was believed to be in his 20s, was shot in the head just after 11 a.m. in the 7500 block of South Union Avenue, authorities said.
Montgomery was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he died one minute past noon, according to authorities.
Area South detectives launched an investigation, but nobody was in custody Thursday morning.
