A 36-year-old man was fatally shot Thursday night on the same South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood block where he lived, authorities said. Johnny Tinsey was shot in the chest about 6:50 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Sangamon Avenue. Tinsey, of the 7700 block of South Sangamon Avenue, was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 7:37 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
