A 37-year-old man was killed in a shooting in an Englewood neighborhood alley on the South Side late Friday.
Robert Hart was walking in the alley in the 6000 block of South Halsted Street about 11:10 p.m. when the shooter came up behind him and started firing, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Hart, of the 5800 block of South Shields Avenue, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he later died, authorities said.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
