A teenage boy found shot dead in West Englewood Sunday has been identified as 17-year-old Corderro Brown.
Police found Brown Sunday afternoon in a back stairwell in the 6500 block of South Bishop Street, authorities said.
Police initially said the unidentified teen suffered head trauma and were waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office later identified the boy as Brown, of the 5700 block of South Ada Street, and a Tuesday autopsy determined he died from a gunshot wound to the head. The death was ruled a homicide.
Area South detectives are investigating.
