Jarvis Lewis charged with murder in death of Antonio Grey

Jarvis Lewis has been charged with murder in connection with a March shooting in the South Shore neighborhood that killed Antonio Grey.

Lewis, 18, was charged with one count of first-degree murder for the March 23 attack in the 7800 block of South Muskegon Avenue, police said.

Grey, 26,, of the 8100 block of South Muskegon Avenue, was shot in the chest about 9:45 a.m. and died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital about two hours later, authorities said.

Lewis, of the 2800 block of East 78th Street, was also held on two outstanding warrants, police said.

He will appear for a bond hearing Saturday.
