Lester Jones was shot to death Thursday morning in Englewood.
A gunman chased Jones, 27, and shot him multiple times in the 7000 block of South Halsted Street about 10:45 a.m., authorities said.
Jones, of the 6200 block of South Talman Avenue, was declared dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 11:59 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged in the murder.
Area South detectives are investigating.
