Francisco Rufino was killed in a Friday night shooting in the Pilsen neighborhood that also left another man wounded.
Rufino, 22, and a 28-year-old man were in a westbound vehicle when they were shot about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of West 19th Street, authorities said.
Rufino, of the 1800 block of West 17th Street, was taken to University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System and transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he died at 3:19 a.m., authorities said.
The other man was taken to University of Illinois Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm, police said.
Nobody has been charged in the shooting.
Area Central detectives are investigating if the shooting is gang-related, police said.
