Juan Ocon and Timmy Bermudez were shot dead on a Little Village street on Easter Sunday.

About 1 p.m., an orange Hummer blocked a Lincoln Navigator head-on at the corner of West 28th Street and South Sawyer Avenue, police said at the scene. Two gunmen then exited the Hummer and fired nearly a dozen shots at the Navigator.

A 13-year-old boy who lives nearby said he saw part of the shooting from inside his home. Both gunmen wore white masks and the Hummer fled south, he said.

After the shooting, the Navigator sped away and was later found at West 24th Street and South Kedzie Avenue, police said at the scene.

Ocon, 32, was shot in the head and died at the scene, authorities said. Bermudez, 19, was shot in the chest and died at Mount Sinai Hospital less than 20 minutes later. Their home addresses were not immediately available.

The shooting occurred beneath a police security camera, and detectives will be viewing tape to identify the potential shooters, police said.

Nobody has been charged with the murders.

Area Central detectives are investigating if the shooting is gang related.
