Chasteddy Blocker killed in West Side shooting

Chasteddy Blocker was killed in a West Side shooting that also left a man critically injured.

The two were shot about 4:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Central Park Avenue, police said.

Blocker, 20, who lived on the block, was shot in the back and died at Mount Sinai Hospital a short time later, authorities said.

The man, 34, was shot in the right hip and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

Nobody has been charged for the murder.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
