A 14-year-old boy was shot to death Thursday night in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired found Kevin Diaz lying on a sidewalk in the 6400 block of South Francisco Avenue about 10:15 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.
Diaz, of the 6200 block of North Francisco Avenue, died at Holy Cross Hospital at 10:42 p.m. Thursday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area Central detectives are investigating if the shooting is gang related, police said.
