Ronald Holliman killed in Austin shooting

Ronald Holliman was killed in a Wednesday evening shooting in the Austin community that left two other people wounded.

Holliman, 18, was with two other men were in the 4900 block of West West End Avenue when a group of males exited a vehicle and opened fire from an alley about 5 p.m., authorities said.

Holliman, of the 5200 block of West Race Avenue, was shot in the left buttocks, left thigh and right knee, authorities said. He died at Mount Sinai Hospital at 6:28 p.m.

Two other men in the group were wounded by the gunfire. A 21-year-old was shot in the left arm, left leg and abdomen area and a 26-year-old was shot twice in the chest and once in the side, police said.

A police source said the 19- and 26-year-old are documented gang members.

Nobody has been charged for the murder.

Area North detectives are investigating.
