Darryl Allison was fatally shot Monday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood.
Officers responding to shots fried found Allison, 26, lying next to a mini van with multiple bullet holes about 4:35 p.m. Monday in the 5500 block of South Emerald Avenue, authorities said.
Allison, of the 5000 block of South Wood Street, had been shot in the head died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County less than an hour later, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
