Alexander D. Smith was killed in a South Shore shooting that also left a 14-year-old boy injured Thursday afternoon.
Smith and the teen were shot in the 7500 block of South Colfax Avenue about 2:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.
Smith, 25, was shot multiple times and was dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The boy suffered a graze wound to the ankle and thigh, police said. He was taken to South Shore Hospital for treatment.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area South detectives are investigating.
