Alexandria Burgos was fatally shot in a Belmont Cragin apartment early Sunday.
Burgos, 18, was sitting in the apartment in the 5300 block of West Oakdale Avenue when shots were fired outside about 12:35 a.m., authorities said.
At least one of the bullets entered the apartment and Burgos was struck in the head, authorities said.
Burgos, of an unidentified home address, died less than an hour later at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area North detectives are investigating.
