Kevin Roberson has died from injuries he sustained after being shot in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood in May.
Roberson, 21, was shot in the 7200 block of South Artesian Avenue about 4:15 p.m. May 17 and took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, authorities said.
Roberson, of the 1200 block of West 83rd Street, died at Kindred Hospital at 6:18 a.m. Tuesday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy found he died of complications from a gunshot wound to the neck, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Police said at the time that detectives were investigating if the shooting was gang related.
