A 41-year-old man was fatally shot inside his Austin neighborhood home Wednesday afternoon.
Pierre Peters was shot in the back inside his home in the 0 - 100 block of North Lorel Avenue about 2:35 p.m., authorities said. He died at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
After the shooting, two males were seen running from the building, police said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area North detectives are investigating.
