Glenn Houston Jr. was fatally shot in the Chatham neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
Houston, 23, was inside a store in the 400 block of East 79th Street when a gunman walked inside and opened fire about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
Houston, of the 7700 block of South Rhodes Avenue, was shot in the chest multiple times and died less than an hour later at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, authorities said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area South detectives are investigating.
